Singing has the power to express love or pain, release anger or tension and awaken a soul to the beauty of God’s creation. When I sing, I feel the deep peace of the Lord that always exists but which is rarely experienced. It is my deepest wish to share this great peace with others, to help them open their hearts to the love of our divine Lord.
Kathryn’s second album contains ecumenical music from a range of traditions, and it also contains several original pieces. The title track, ‘Can You Hear My Heart?’ is a testament to the sacrifice Jesus made for us and the pain he went through. As he says, ‘no one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends’.
Kathryn’s first album contains some of her favourite songs from many areas of Christianity and one original song. ‘Grant Me Humility’ is inspired by the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi, for whom humility was one of the most important characteristics to develop, and is particularly relevant when entering a singing career. Kathryn aims to sing with this principle in mind at all times.
All tracks sung by Kathryn Crosweller. Backing vocals and intruments by Richard Braithwaite.
